Hatton is the party parents book when they want animals and space without inventing the timetable themselves. Hosted packages put a member of staff with the group for the afternoon; the lighter package leaves you in charge of a private room, feed pots and the park. It suits mixed ages better than a pure soft-play barn, and the guinea-pig handling is the bit shy children remember.

Large on-site car park off Dark Lane. Still leave a buffer on sunny Saturdays — the walk from the far rows is longer than the invitation suggests.
Food and drink for the adults
Café and food outlets on site, so adults are not stuck with a juice carton. Hosted parties include a lunchbox for the children; order adult meals separately and do not assume the party slot includes a quiet table for the whole grown-up group.
Good to know
A deposit holds the date. Check whether you are on the hosted or self-led package before you promise parents a sit-down lunch. Wellies in the boot if the animal yards have had rain.
