Bocketts is a straightforward Surrey farm party: animals, play and a base so you are not picnicking in a puddle. It works hardest for under-eights. Older children will do the tractors and be looking for a bigger thrill, so don't sell it as an adventure park. Parents who live inside the M25 like it because the drive is sane and the site is used to birthday groups.

Food and drink for the adults
There is catering on the farm. Decide in advance whether parents are invited for the meal or just the drop-off — farm parties feel chaotic when half the adults expected a table and half expected to leave.
