High ropes
Go Ape Alexandra Palace
Alexandra Palace, London · N22 7AY
A Go Ape birthday is an outdoor high-ropes session: harnesses, trees, and a finite amount of time, with party bags and a forest shelter you can add when you book. Children need to meet the height rule for the course you pick. It is one of the better parties for 8 to 14, and a miserable idea in a thunderstorm — they will cancel or move you, and you should be glad. Ally Pally is the north-London course. The hill and the car park are both famous for a reason.
Activities from about £19 a person, before shelter hire or party bags

Forest car parks are the system, and some charge. The course postcode is the one to send. Phone signal in the trees is a nice idea and occasionally a lie, so agree the meeting point before you lose each other.
Food and drink for the adults
Adults can do a course, watch, or sit the session out with a coffee if the site has one. Do not assume a roast dinner. Party bags are an optional extra at checkout, which is useful because you may not want pockets full of plastic after a zip wire. If parents are staying outdoors for two hours, tell them to bring a layer and a drink.
Good to know
Pick the course that matches the shortest child, not the tallest cousin. A £3-ish transaction fee has been added online. Book the location on the national party page — this pin is that forest, not 'Go Ape somewhere'.
