Dartmoor Zoo publishes a children's party you can book, rather than a day ticket and a hope of a table. A host, a reserved table, lunch boxes or pizza, and a guided tour are the core, with meerkat feeding and craft as add-ons. Tiger Tots is the little-ones version, about two to five. Older children get the longer tour. It is a proper zoo on the edge of the moor, fifteen minutes from Plymouth, and the wrong booking if you wanted to be indoors the entire time.

On-site parking, PL7 5DG, Sparkwell. The 59 bus stops outside on weekdays. Put Sparkwell on the invitation, not 'Dartmoor', which is a whole national park.
Food and drink for the adults
Zoo entry for the party is included. Adult lunch is not the children's lunch box. There is a restaurant. Tell parents whether they are walking the tour or waiting with the cake.
Good to know
The headline price has been a flat fee for the first ten children. Extra children are on top. Full-day entry is part of the children's rate. Ask about the meerkat add-on when you book, not at the gate.
